Halloween 2010

Halloween is definitely one of our most favorite times of the year. The month of October started with Witchfest at Gardner Village with Izzy's Grandma and cousins. We had portraits taken before going on our fun adventure.

Then we had our family Halloween shots taken. Although Izzy "wasn't perfect" during the session, we managed to capture some great moments.

We also had our Rygar Halloween party this month with our friends, the Ryser's. We had a great time playing games and making monsters.

The month ended with Halloween night. We had so much fun taking Izzy on her first real trick-or-treating. She really started to get into it and the most adorable part was when she would sign thank you to our neighbors after she had picked a candy. As you can see, she had a little entourage of 8 people watching her. Later that night, her cousins joined her for some serious candy time and fun.

October was a great month!

Salsa Party 2010

It's that time of year again! Time for homemade SALSA! Gill and Shelley have an awesome recipe so we all picked our gardens and met at their house to can three HUGE batches. Izzy was a huge help putting the peppers in the bucket (and then taking them out). She also decided she needed to smell every single pepper to ensure we had the highest quality ingredients. Salsa is actually a lot of work but we powered through it like it was nothing. I was even able to can the last of my tomatoes to use later on. The yellow ones are a special sunburst tomato that are just beautiful. It was a fun day.

Adriana's XXth Birthday!

Our wonderful friend, Adriana celebrated her XXth birthday this year. (I promised I wouldn't tell anyone she turned 30!) We had an amazing time at La Caille for brunch. I'm a firm believer that your 30's are awesome- mainly because I am 30- but I really do believe it. Adriana looks so beautiful in these pictures. We are so glad we could celebrate this birthday with her.

Oregon 2010

We had an amazing time visiting Gold Beach, Oregon with both of our families over the 4th of July. I had such a hard time picking the best photos so I have pasted some below and then included a slideshow for the rest. (You can click the pictures in the slideshow to see them bigger in Picasa.) We went running along the coast almost every day and we found some awesome treasures. It's definitely one of our favorite places to vacation.

Arts Festival 2010

We ALWAYS love going to the Utah Arts Festival. This year, we went this year with my family and Devan's mom. While we were eating our dinner, we ran into Adriana and Ryan (Izzy's godparents). We had a great time seeing all of the booths and sampling the food. We thought Izzy would love this booth with puppets but as you can see, she was terrified. It was still cute though. We would definitely recommend this awesome event.
