Afternoon Tea

My dear friend Adriana knows how to make a girl feel special. In honor of Baby Isaac’s anticipated arrival, she treated me to pedicures and Afternoon Tea at the Grand America in May. The food was fantastic and the company was even better. I would highly recommend this for a girls’ afternoon out!

Mother's Day 2011

I know it is a bit cliché, but Mother’s Day really is one of my most favorite days of the year. Devan and Izzy took me to the Grand America for their wonderful Mother’s Day brunch. Izzy was so excited to pick her food from the mini-children’s buffet table. I love getting dressed up and having a fancy morning with my cute little family. Afterwards, we visited Devan’s mom at their house and then celebrated with my mom a week later. The pictures from this day are ones I will always cherish.

Race for the Cure 2011

It’s an annual tradition to participate in Salt Lake City’s Race for the Cure! Even though I was 9 months pregnant, I didn’t want to miss it. Shelley, Devan (and Izzy) walked the 5k distance with me while my dad, brother and his wife Mayra ran it. We had perfect weather and it always feels good participating in such a great cause!

Baby Party 2011

Even though it’s a little non-traditional to have a “shower” for a second baby, our dear family and friends decided to host a small “Baby Party” for us to welcome Baby Isaac. It was such a fun day and we had such a good time catching up with everyone. Isaac also received some amazing gifts and an even more amazing wardrobe!

Easter 2011

Easter is always such a fun holiday for us. Izzy enjoyed 3 events- one with the Ryser's, one with my family and one with Devan's family. We always have a great time hiding eggs and opening baskets. All of the kids looked so cute in their Easter attire! We all had a great time this year!

Izzy's First Egg Hunt

We decided to take Izzy to her first official Egg Hunt this year the Saturday before Easter. Although she was absolutely ADORABLE- it was a little chaotic. We went to Thanksgiving Point where we had to wait in line for 35 minutes just to pay and enter the area where they were hiding the eggs. There were a gazillion people and not nearly enough staff. Izzy caught on quickly though and managed to collect several eggs- and CANDY- which is her favorite. She even met the Easter Bunny! Every time she sees a bunny now she says, "BUNNY- Hop, hop, hop!" We'll probably stick to smaller events in the future but I am glad she got to experience the fun of racing for eggs.
