Who would have thought that Izzy would have Haircut #2 at 7 months! I just love all of that hair! It totally matches her personality. The other girls at the salon thought she was tres chic!
Izzy had a wonderful time at her first Thanksgiving! Grandma T watched her in the morning while Devan and I ran the "Human Race" in Draper. It was so much fun- cold- but fun. Then, we met up with family for the rest of the day. The food was fantastic and Izzy loved being the center of attention. Later that night, Izzy had her first sleep-over at Grandma and Grandpa G's. Devan and I slept over too- that is- until we got up at 3am to go shopping!!!! It was a great holiday.
We LOVE Halloween and this year is no exception! We couldn't resist dressing up with our little "Alice." As you can see, Devan is the perfect Mad Hatter and we all know I was born to play the Queen of Hearts! We hope all of our friends and family have a great Halloween.
Izzy was definitely the cutest "pumpkin" at the scarecrow festival at Thanksgiving Point. There were so many fun activities there for kids. It was a great family outing!
"Grandma" Dee baby-sat my brother and I when we were little. It is so fun to see her now play with my baby! Izzy loved having lunch today with her "Great-grandma" Dee.
We LOVE to make Izzy laugh. When she thinks something is really funny, she gets a little bit deeper laugh that isn't really a giggle. This video is the closet I have been able to get to capturing it!
Even though we will get Izzy's 6-month pictures back soon, I just loved her 5 month photos. So- I thought I would share a few of my favorites on my blog before I go crazy with all of the Halloween pics.
Of course, Izzy can't have just one Halloween costume. She needs two! One to trick-or-treat and the other for entertaining. We had brunch last Sunday with Izzy's godparents, Adriana and Ryan and it was so fun. We love hanging out with those guys. Plus, Izzy was very excited to entertain as a little pumpkin
We started feeding Izzy rice cereal for the first time last month and she loves it! It is so cute to watch her experience new tastes and textures. We have since made our own sweet potato puree that she like too! I told her it will taste much better with marshmallows on top. We like to put her in her own special chair on the kitchen counter that also has a fun rain forrest toy she gets to play with before and after she eats. I have two cookbooks that show you how to make your own baby food so I am really excited to try some of the recipes. How hard can mush really be?
We had a great time in Lava Hot Springs (Idaho) for Devan's brother's (Dustin's) birthday. It was also Izzy's first time camping. She did considerably better than her godmother did the first time we took her camping. :)
