Race for the Cure 2010

Every year, it is a family tradition to run the Susan G Koman Race for the Cure. We had so much fun and it was so inspiring to see so many people support the cause. We heard 20,000 people registered this year! Even Izzy sported her pink jacket to show her enthusiasm.

Easter 2010

Ok- So I know this is a little out of order but having Easter the day after Izzy's first birthday was quite a challenge! I really wanted to post some of the adorable pics from Izzy's second Easter. It had just snowed in Utah so Easter was really cold. The big kids (including our parents) were able to find eggs outside just fine but we decided to do Izzy's egg hunt indoors. She had so much fun playing with her uncle Chris, Grandma T and Grandpa T at our house and then we headed off to an awesome afternoon at Devan parents' house. I especially love the picture of all four cousins together. It was a great day.

Backyard Roller Coaster!

For Izzy's first birthday, Grandma and Grandpa T gave her an awesome backyard roller coaster. Needless to say, our little dare devil LOVES it! Devan and I take turns carrying her from the bottom -back to the top- so she can push herself down the track again and again.

A Year of Shoes

Ok- so I admit it- I love shoes! Especially shoes for Izzy. I couldn't resist finding a new pair for every portrait session she had over the last year. I hope you enjoy the culmination of my obsession.

The Faces of Winnie the Pooh

I love these shots of Izzy's portrayal of the characters in the 100 Acre Woods. This is Izzy the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and of course Eeyore.

Izzy's First Birthday

We had an amazing time celebrating Izzy's first birthday on April 3rd. Even though the weather was a bit uncertain, we were able to bring all of the fun indoors. Devan took our bed down the day before and we set up a bounce house in our bedroom. We also turned our entire house into the 100 Acre Woods! Our guests wore either Tigger, Piglet or Eeyore ears. Devan, Izzy and I wore Pooh ears- of course. Winnie the Pooh even showed up for the event just to wish her happy birthday. Izzy was in a fantastic mood for the entire party- which made her really fun. Although, just so everyone knows, she doesn't really like chocolate cake. We really appreciate everyone who sent us birthday wishes for our little girl. We just can't believe she's one already!

Izzy's Walking!

That's right, our little darling took her first stroll exactly one week before her 1st birthday! It took a couple of tries and some coaxing from mom and dad but we were able to capture these exciting moments on video. Look out world- Izzy's on her way!

A GREEN Dinner

We decided to have a Green Dinner for St. Patrick's Day with Devan's Family. All of the food we ate was green! Izzy had a great time playing with her cousins and the adults loved adding green food coloring to our favorite dishes.

First Swing

We decided to set-up Izzy's swing set as soon as the snow melted. And- when I say we- I mean the guys from the swing set company. Izzy took her first swing on St. Patrick's Day. It was so cute and she had a great time. The only part that made her mad was when we stopped.

Haircut #3!

Holy cow! Three haircuts before the age of one. We had to take Izzy for another haircut because it was literally hanging down in front of her eyes. She's definitely becoming a pro at this.

All in a days flight!

In January, we went to iFly with the Ryser family. Basically, it's skydiving- only there's no fear of falling to your death! They blow wind in a clear tunnel at 90 mph. The instructor keeps you in control- and he can do some really cool tricks too. We had an awesome time. The wind was so strong that I couldn't breath in the tube so that's me with the black scarf over my face. It was so much fun. We will definitely be going back!
